gratitude no. 1
I'm so grateful for being a part of the hospice community. After having done hospice with both mom and dad, I knew I was being called to give back as a volunteer. I've had the beautiful honor of being a presence to some really lovely souls. This past Sunday, I helped put 150 small bouquets of flowers together to hand out to families of veterans for the annual veteran's memorial service. Dad was a veteran, so this service was even more special to be involved in. When we finished with the flowers, I gathered up some odd bits and pieces and brought them home to put on the kitchen windowsill. It makes my heart feel full of love everytime I stand at the sink.
I am grateful to be able to use my gifts and talents to help others have their wants and needs be provided. I am grateful to create and express myself in my murals and paintings. It's a fun time, Halloween, to decorate for the season, and I have all I need to do do.
